Welcome Ctribble and Proy10 :) When I look for this kind of shot, I try not to include any sky (more difficult than you might think) and I try to find as much contrast in the light as possible. Furthermore, I have focus on the branch going through the whole image and not on any particular leaf or leaves and this also helps to create depth. [50/2 Summicron]
